Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has intensified its awareness and guidance services for pilgrims during the Hajj 1447 season by operating a free hotline and video call services to answer religious inquiries in multiple languages 24 hours a day.
The ministry, represented by the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Hajj, Umrah and Visitation, stated that more than 200 preachers and 120 translators are participating in the initiative from Dhul-Qi’dah 20 until Dhul-Hijjah 20, providing religious guidance and answering pilgrims’ questions in various languages to accommodate the diverse nationalities of Hajj pilgrims.
Pilgrims can contact the ministry through the unified toll-free number (8002451000), where qualified scholars and trained preachers specialized in Hajj rulings and rituals respond to inquiries, alongside translators speaking 14 international languages.
The ministry has also activated video call services through tablet devices in Makkah, Madinah, and at land, air, and sea entry points, offering support in more than 40 languages to facilitate direct communication with pilgrims and provide immediate religious guidance.
According to the ministry, the hotline and virtual guidance services operate continuously throughout the Hajj season, supported by automated response systems and remote participation from scholars answering questions related to rituals, worship, and Islamic transactions.
Additionally, 1,822 preachers are participating in delivering lectures, lessons, and awareness programs at entry points, Miqat mosques, and pilgrims’ gathering locations in Makkah and Madinah as part of a comprehensive outreach plan utilizing modern technology to enhance services for pilgrims.
The ministry affirmed that these efforts are part of the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to serving pilgrims in line with the directives of the Saudi leadership, ensuring that worshippers perform their rituals with ease, safety, and peace of mind.
