The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has emphasized the importance of protecting pilgrims’ finances during the Hajj season, urging all pilgrims to deal exclusively with licensed and officially contracted Hajj service providers, and to avoid any unofficial channels or suspicious links.
The Ministry explained that engaging with approved Hajj companies ensures pilgrims’ rights and reduces the risk of falling victim to fraudulent schemes. It also highlighted key warning signs of fraud, including requests for payments outside official channels, sharing banking information, or accessing unverified links.
It further noted that in case of any suspected fraud attempt, reports should be made immediately by calling (911) in main regions or via SMS at (330330) so that appropriate action can be taken promptly.
The Ministry also affirmed that the Pilgrims Awareness Center continues its educational and awareness efforts to ensure a safe and organized Hajj journey, urging everyone to adhere strictly to official guidelines and communicate only through authorized channels, including the unified number (1966) and the official website.
